Rosie Eade is primarily a solo musician and songwriter, playing around the folk/rock/acoustic genre at folk-clubs, pubs and festivals all round the country (2010 included Glastonbury's Avalon Cafe, Beautiful Days, Rochester Sweeps and Bearded Theory). She plays lively and evocative life inspired songs of her own, interspersed with carefully chosen traditional songs, all arranged around her love of folk, rock and thrashing her old nylon strung guitar. Likened to the voices of Kate Bush, Maddy Prior and Grace Slick, yet inspired by The Who as much as Steeleye Span, she has supported the likes of Julie Fowlis, Nick Harper, Martin Carthy & Dave Swarbrick, Dave Pegg & PJ Wright, and Holly Golightly, to high acclaim. 2011/12 sees Rosie touring her debut album "No Fairytale" - a concept album bringing together folk myths and fairytales, with a dark twist and an absolute wealth of special guests. Rosie has come a long way since being complimented by the Irish World for her first performance in the Cambridge Folk Festival club tent back in 2002, but the guitar remains and, with or without band, people are still surprised how this little "folk-pixie" can make music that sounds so much larger.

Rosie also sings and plays sax/whistles with folk-rock band 'Hedgepig' (2010 festivals included Burnham-On-Sea and Hewishstock). In the summer festival season she tours as the whistle player for skiffle-punk band 'Hobo Jones and The Junkyard Dogs' (2010 included Glastonbury, Beautiful Days and Larmer Tree, + support band for The Levellers' 2009 spring UK tour). In addition, she has recently started performing as a duo, 'Eaden', with Tim Paulden on piano; re-inventing some of Rosie's own material while also covering a wider range of artists, from Evanescence to Cyndi Lauper.

Rosie is available for gigs and festivals in the above line-ups, and also as a session musician for gigs and recording; playing guitar, whistles, alto saxophone and piano, in addition to singing.
