"Rosie Eade, one of the finest new voices on the acoustic scene", Burnham-On-Sea Folk Festival.

"Rosie's own songs... played alongside traditional folk ... are infused with a sense of urgency. A balance of powerful yearning and personal reflection.” Scrumpy 'n' Western.

Rosie Eade plays lively and evocative life inspired songs of her own, interspersed with carefully chosen traditional songs, all arranged around her love of folk, rock and thrashing her old nylon strung guitar. She has supported the likes of Julie Fowlis, Martin Carthy, and Nancy Kerr & James Fagan, to high acclaim. Complimented by the Irish World for her first performance in the Cambridge Folk Festival club tent back in 2002, Rosie has gone on to play folk clubs and festivals all over the country, including the very first Spanfest in July '07. Last year saw her play Rochester Sweeps, Glastonbury Festival, Beautiful Days and Burnham on Sea Folk Festival. She also guested with Hobo Jones and the Junkyard Dogs on the Levellers' 2009 UK tour, and is set for a packed festival schedule in 2010.

Rosie's musical background begins with classical/jazz training on alto saxophone, clarinet & piano and initial 'gigging' experiences with the Essex Youth Jazz Orchestra, before delving into an exploration of traditional folk and subsequent self tuition of guitar, violin & whistles.
